Common Name:  Gallium Sphinx or Bedstraw Hawk Moth

Latin Name:  Hyles gallii (Rottemburg, 1775)
                        (R.Bercha, det.)

Length:  up to 55 mm

Range: Throughout Alberta

Habitat:  Various

Time of year seen: Summer

Caterpillar's Diet:  Fireweed, Woodruff,  & Bedstraw
