Common Name:  Three-Banded Lady Beetle / Ladybug

Latin Name:  Coccinella trifasciata perplexa Mulsant, 1850
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length:  4.0 - 5.0 mm

Range: Throughout Alberta

Habitat:  Various

Time of year seen:  April to September

Diet: Aphids

Other:  A widespread species found across much of North America, Europe and Asia.  (Acorn, 2007)
