Latin Name:  Ontholestes cingulatus
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length:  13 - 21 mm

Range: Fields and woodlands in Alberta

Habitat:  On Carrion, dung and decaying organic material

Time of year seen: Spring  to Fall

Diet: Flies and fly larva associated with carrion and dung.
