Latin Name:  Lacinipolia renigera (Stephens, 1829)
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length:   ~35 mm

Range: Alberta

Habitat:  Various

Time of year seen: Summer

Caterpillar's Diet: Wild and cultivated herbaceous plants, including: apple, cabbage, clover, corn, tobacco, dandelion, plantain and grape.

Other:  These two cutworms were emerged from eggs and raised on dandelion.
