Common Name:  Water Scavenger Beetle

Latin Name:  Sphaeridium scarabaeoides (Linnaeus 1758)
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length: 4 to 7 mm  

Range:  Alberta

Habitat: Horse and other mammal dung

Time of year seen:  Summer (Additional Sightings)

Diet: Dung
