Other: S. difficilis is found across Canada with records from British Columbia west to Manatoba, then Quebec and New Brunswick and then north to the Yukon and N.W.T. In Alberta it is widespread with adult beetles commonly found on goldenrod, milkweed and hydrangea. Their diet primarily consists of pollen and nectar. (J. McNamara)
