Other: Marsh Ground Beetles are widely distributed across North America. They are found near water on wet ground in marshes and bogs, on the banks of rivers, sand and mud flats and in mosses by springs and small streams. Both the adults and larva are predators that hunt other small organisms. Their elytra typically have punctate depressions. (White et al, 1983)
