Other: The Hairy Rove Beetle, Creophilus maxillosus, is a common and widespread species found throughout North America. It is found in a variety of natural habitats as well as human dominated ecosystems or synanthropic environments. The adult beetles hunt fly maggots on carrion and as such that is where they are typically found. (Arnett and Thomas, 2001)
