Common Name:  Flathead Poplar Borer

Latin Name:  Dicerca tenebrica (Kirby, 1837)
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length:  17 - 19 mm

Range: Alberta

Habitat: Montaine, hardwood and boreal forests

Time of year seen: May to July  (Additional Sightings)

Larva's Diet: Aspen and balsam poplar
