Other: The Evergreen Spanworm Moth is originally a European
species that was introduced to Canada in 1945. It was first seen
in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area and by 1963 it had spread as far west as
Ottawa, Ontario. Based on records from the
E.H. Strickland Entomological Museum it is now present in British
Columbia. T. juniperata larva are solitary defoliators that feed
exclusively on Juniper. The moths have light brown forewings with a
distinctive black apical streak and a dark band running across the middle
while the hind wings are a pale buff color. The moth comes to light. (Forest
