Other: The Bronzed Cutworm has a distinctive
bronze
coloration with three cream colored stripes that run the
length
of its body. There is one generation per year with
the eggs over
wintering and hatching early in the spring.
This cutworm is fairly
common and the majority are
seen crossing sidewalks adjacent to grassy
areas. If
disturbed it will assume a curled up defensive position.
